The Princess Grace Hospital and the Monaco Institute of Sports Medicine and Surgery (IM2S) today signed an agreement on cooperation between the two facilities. The agreement was signed at the Ministry of State under the aegis of Chairman of the Board André Garino and Director Patrick Bini, as well as Minister of Health and Social Affairs Didier Gamerdinger, for Princess Grace Hospital, and CEO Céline Caron-Dagioni and Executive Director Gérard Luccio for IM2S.

The deeper relationship between Princess Grace Hospital and IM2S, which already work together on an occasional basis, takes account of today’s need to develop, for the benefit of patients, partnerships between health care facilities in the Principality that operate in related fields and are geographically close to each other.

A collaborative relationship which is strong and positive would seem to be essential if synergies are to be unlocked, enabling an increase in sharing of both equipment and professionals. This will be done in accordance with the statutes of each establishment, in order to prepare effectively for subsequent integration of IM2S’s orthopaedic activities within the new Princess Grace Hospital.

Mr Didier Gamerdinger welcomed the constructive nature of the discussions between doctors and managers at these high-level healthcare facilities in the Principality, which have made it possible to give substance to mutually beneficial partnerships.
