Monaco’s Embassy in Spain held a working meeting for Monaco’s consuls on Thursday 1 July in Madrid. The Principality of Monaco has seven consulates in Spain, covering different regions and autonomous communities in the country.

The working session provided an opportunity first to discuss the economic and political situation in each area, and then to review the impact of the pandemic on the various sectors of Spain’s economy.

H.E. Ms Catherine Fautrier-Rousseau presented to the consuls an action plan for the period until the end of 2021, as well as the schedule of planned events for 2022, which will be marked by commemorations in Madrid and Cantabria of the centenary of Albert I’s death.

Other events which have already been confirmed include celebrations of International Day of the Mediterranean at the end of November and the visit of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo in January and May 2022.

The meeting concluded with a lunch to which the consuls’ spouses were invited.
