Reception at Embassy of Monaco in Portugal

To mark the twelfth anniversary of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince’s accession, a reception was held by the Embassy of the Principality of Monaco in Portugal on 12 July 2017.

The reception took place in the prestigious setting of Forte da Cruz in Estoril. Monaco’s Ambassador, Henrique de Polignac Mascarenhas de Barros, and the Vice Consul, Diane de Polignac de Barros, welcomed nearly 200 guests, including representatives of the President’s Office, the Portuguese Government, the entire diplomatic corps accredited to H.E. the President of the Portuguese Republic, the City Halls of Lisbon and Cascais (Estoril), and a variety of figures from Portuguese high society.

After a short speech by the Ambassador of Monaco, who recalled the historic, long-standing and friendly ties between the two countries, a cocktail reception was held on the terraces of Forte da Cruz, from which the flags of the Principality fluttered.
