With one month to go until International Women’s Day, the Women’s Rights Committee has begun preparations for its annual #8MarchMonaco initiative, which will shine a spotlight on the women in the front lines during the March 2020 lockdown, those heroines of everyday life who care, help and nurture.

“A year after the first lockdown, it was obvious to me that we should thank these women who toiled in the background for the common good,” said Céline Cottalorda, Chief Women’s Rights Officer.

Artist Anthony Alberti, alias Mr One Teas, is once again producing portraits that will be assembled in the form of photographic works. The final result can be seen at the entrances to the Principality, on the Rocher and at the Fontvieille shopping centre.

With the pandemic making it impossible to come together and officially unveil the artwork at the Ministry of State, a video will be published on the Committee’s social media pages and broadcast on Monaco Info from 8 March, showing all of the photographs on display in the city.
