Monaco Week in Moscow

4 to 8 October 2016

The Principality of Monaco is preparing to hold a Monaco Week in the Russian capital to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

An official delegation, led by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, and including H.E. Mr. Serge Telle, Minister of State and Mr. Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, will travel to Moscow from 4 to 8 October 2016 for the occasion.

This "Week" will feature high-level meetings and many events.

The exhibition "Grimaldi and Romanov, Three Centuries of History," which retraces the relations between these two dynasties, and which the public were able to see during the summer of 2015 at the Prince's Palace, will be officially inaugurated at the Tretyakov Gallery – one of Russia's most renowned cultural institutions.

H.E. Ms. Mireille Pettiti, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Monaco to the Federation of Russia, will give a diplomatic reception at the Historical Museum in Moscow, in the presence of 200 guests.

Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority will present "Destination Monaco" to Russian tourism professionals at an evening to be held at the Volkhonka Mansion.

Other highlights of the trip will be the events organised by the Monaco Economic Board with its partners in Russia (RSPP, Delovaya Rossya and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation).  As well as the economic presentations planned for the occasion, round tables, lectures and networking lunches will also be on the agenda.

To close Monaco week in Russia, on Friday 7 October the Russian Geographical Society will welcome the Prince Albert II Foundation, represented by Vice President and Chief Executive Officer H.E. Mr Bernard Fautrier, for a conference where the two organisations will present the action they are taking to protect the environment, particularly with regard to the conservation of endangered species such as the Siberian tiger. The event will also include the signature of a framework cooperation agreement between the Russian Geographical Society and the Prince Albert II Foundation.
