Monaco Inter Expo in Astana to prepare for next international exposition

The Monaco Inter Expo team visited Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan) from 22 to 26 February for the second International Participants Meeting (IPM), as part of Monaco’s forthcoming participation in the next international exposition from 10 June to 10 September 2017.

These working meetings provide countries with an update on progress with regard to the exposition. The visit was also an opportunity to sign the Participation Contract, the second important stage in the process following the appointment of Julien Cellario as General Commissioner.

 The Principality has now confirmed its participation and will have a space of 550 m². A call for proposals has been launched, aimed particularly at architects in Monaco, for the design and development of the Monegasque pavilion. The theme and preliminary designs will need to be sent to the exposition organisers by autumn this year.

During their visit, the delegation was received by Mr Kairat Orazbekov, Monaco’s Honorary Consul in the Republic of Kazakhstan, who assured Monaco Inter Expo of his support during the launch and implementation phases of the project.
